AquaFit

High energy, low impact, great fun!  That’s how we would describe a typical Aqua Aerobics class.  And with over 372,000 attendances at our Aqua Fit sessions each year you’d be hard pushed to disagree.

But what makes people come back week after week, month after month?  Here are our top 5 reasons why Aqua Fit is a great activity and is an integral part of so many fitness routines:

     1. It’s for everyone!

Aqua Fit is suitable for almost anyone.  You don’t have to be super fit or flexible, or even have to be a good swimmer, just as long as you are happy to be in the water.  If you are nervous, you can bag a space at the shallow end.  There are plenty of modifications you can make to ensure you take it at your own pace and - even better…no one will be able to tell if you’ve a mistake as you are under the water 😊

     2. Low Impact

The water supports every-body (quite literally) making movements kinder on the joints with little to no impact.  Aqua Fit is great for people returning to exercise for the first time in a while, those carrying injuries or with long term health conditions that affect the joints and movement.

     3. Provides a full body workout

You’ll be surprised just how much of a workout you can get.  Myth Buster – Aqua Fit isn’t just for older ladies, if you give it your all, you will get a full body cardio and strength building workout.

     4. Improves mental wellbeing

Exercise releases endorphins which has been proven to benefit mental wellbeing.  Regular workouts will lift our mood, help you to manage stress better and can help to improve depression.  You wont regret doing a workout, but you will regret skipping it!

      5. It’s fun!

One of the key factors to leading an active life is to find an exercise that you enjoy, you’re more likely to stick to it if you’re having fun.  In addition to all the points above Aqua Fit is fun…the music, the teachers, the other participants all create a fun and sociable atmosphere that will leave you wanting more.
