Swimmers & gymnast of the year 2022

After a challenging 2022 we wanted to round the year off with some good news stories. We asked all of our Swimming and Gymnastics Teachers to nominate those distinctive, very special people who deserved a bit of recognition.

They were asked to identify swimmers and gymnasts on our lesson programmes (children and adults) who have displayed positive attitudes, unyielding determination or, have put in efforts over and above their peers.  They may have overcome personal adversity or achieved something unexpected or challenging.

Having taught Nate since stage 4, he's been a pleasure to teach! He's never missed a class & is always present, listens carefully and always tries his best to improve quickly.
He truly deserves this award, well done Nate!
Cliff Manning - Loddon Valley's Leisure Centre's swimmer of the year 2022!

Cliff came back to swimming lessons after having surgery and got straight back into the water, working on his strokes and stamina. He always shows up to his lessons and is keen to improve, also practicing 2/3 times a week outside of his lessons. 

Congratulations Cliff! 

Mae Humphreys - Loddon Valley's Leisure Centre's swimmer of the year 2022!

Well done to Mae, our gymnast of the year who is making so much progress in her lessons, working really hard every lesson and is showing bravery and determination every week. We're so proud of Mae!
