Joining the gym
Can I try before I buy?
Places Gym offer free day passes to give you the opportunity to experience the facilities before purchasing a membership. Click 'Join' on the Places Gym website, you will be able to select 'Places free trial event' which will give you a confirmation email for your free day pass. Simply come into reception and our team will give you all the information you need!
Can I freeze my membership?
You can freeze your membership at any point up to 6 months, however this will extend your contract membership term. All types of memberships can freeze at any time, please call your local site.
How can I re-join?
You can simply re-join us at Places Gym by joining online or calling your local site. You may need to pay a joining fee.
Is there free parking?
There is free parking directly outside Places Gym Sheffield & Preston. Members at Places Gym Hinckley qualify for 2 hours free parking at the Sainsbury's upon receipt of a validated ticket from our gym reception
Are there any changing facilities and showers?
There are changing facilities and showers available at all Places Gym sites.
What if I need help while I'm in the gym?
There will always be a member of the fitness team on the gym floor available to assist or answer any questions you might have.
How do I book my induction?
To book your induction, please call your local site to arrange a suitable date and time.
What benefits will I get if I refer a friend?
Members who refer a friend will receive a free month, that means if you refer 12 friends you will get your gym membership free for a year!
I’m thinking about cancelling
We’d hate to see you go and hope this isn’t the end of your fitness journey. Popular reasons for cancelling are often that you aren’t hitting your goals, and that maybe it isn’t fun anymore. We think that’s our responsibility, and if that’s the case we’d love for you to talk to the team of personal trainers first.
