Places Gym Chesterfield is pleased to announce, the final stage of refurbishment works will be underway from July 15. While the final stage of works will be a large task, we want to reassure our dedicated members that your membership will not be affected.

The gym will remain open at all times, however access there will be no access to spa facilities and changing room access will be limited. To ensure minimal disruption to your fitness journey, the team at Places Chesterfield will work to separate the works from the main gym and ensure designated pathways to changing facilities are in place.

Stage one - Female changing rooms: Reopens - August 19

Female changing rooms will close from the evening of July 14; refurbishment works will begin from July 15 and will be completed by August 19th. Changing rooms will feature a new look and feel, providing a more 'at home' feel. Spa facilities will also close from July 15, to complete long-awaited refurbishment works to the sauna and steam room areas.

Stage two - Male changing rooms: August 19

The female changing rooms are set to be complete from August 19th - when works to the male changing rooms will begin. Male change facilities are still available. The facilities will reopen on September 11.

Full changing and spa facilities will reopen early September for all to use. To prevent any major disruption to your fitness journey, our refurbishment team will be working as efficiently as possible to ensure your Places Gym is running to full capacity as soon as possible.

However, please be reassured the main gym and fitness studio will remain open as normal.
